Enjoy the convenience of a Current Account

Send and receive payments using your unique IBAN (International Bank Account Number) including: 

Pension - have your pension paid directly to your credit union account.
Child Benefit paid directly into your credit union account
Other (including social welfare)

Information required for transfer to your credit union account:

Your unique BIC (Bank/Business Identifier Code) & your IBAN (located at the top of your credit union statement, at the bottom of a transaction receipt or in your online account area.

Reference your transaction with one of the following references depending on which balance you want to send money to:

It is important to use only the references above on a single transfer. If an incorrect narrative is used, the money will default to your current account and it is up to you to contact the credit union to have it transferred to the correct balance. Alternatively, you can transfer the money to the correct balance through your online account.

Setting up a Direct Debit on your Current Account

To set up a direct debit from your Credit Union to a bank or other third party, it must be set up against your Current account. All you have to do is supply them with your BIC and IBAN details. Note: Your current account must have sufficient funds to meet the direct debit request so you may need to transfer money into this account from one of your other balances.
